• 1/2 Kg Bitter Melon
  • 1/2 Kg Mince/ Ground Beef
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Red Chili
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt or To Taste
  • 2 Tablespoon Ginger & Garlic Paste
  • 3 Medium Size Onion
  • 1-1/2 Cup Oil
  • 1-1/2 Teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
  • 3-4 Green Chilies
  • Swing Thread
  • 2 Medium Size Tomato


Stuffing for Karele:

In wok, add oil, ginger and garlic paste and fry to 2-3 minutes

Add mince, garam masala and cook until color changes

Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, half tomatoes, green chilies and cook for another 6-8 minutes

Add onion and cook on medium heat for 4-6 minutes

Now remove from wok, keep in plate/ tray and let it cool down.

Bitter Gourd (Karela) preparation:

Peel off bitter gourd (do not throw skin as we need later), remove seeds, rub salt properly on bitter gourd and keep in strainer for 15-20 minutes 

Fill stuffing in bitter gourd with help of spoon and wrap it with thread.

In wok, add some 1-2 tbsp oil, bitter gourd, ry until golden brown and remove from wok.

In same wok, add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, bitter gourd (Karela) skin (which saved earlier) and cook until color changes

Add remaining tomatoes, remaining stuffing (made for filling) and cook for 6-8 minutes

Add fried bitter gourd (karela) and cook on steam until bitter gourd (karela) changes color.
