• 4 Tbsp Gram Flour
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tsp Salt & Red Chili Powder
  • Chat Masala
  • 2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 Kg Yogurt
  • 1 Small Tomato (Without Seeds)
  • 1 Green Chili
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt (For Yogurt)
  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 1 Tsp Paste (Green Chili, Coriander & Mint Leaves)


In a bowl, add gram flour, salt, red chili powder, baking soda, chat masala and mix it

Gradually add water to form batter and let it rest for 10 minutes.

In a wok, heat cooking oil and fry batter carefully/ slowly with tsp size spoon until golden brown

Take a another pan, add cumin seeds and roast on low flame

In big bowl, add water and dip fried phulkiyan in it for 2-3 minutes (not longer than this).

Now take another bowl, add yogurt, onion, tomato (without seeds), salt, green paste (green chili, coriander & mint leaves), chat masala and mix it

In serving tray, take phulkiyan out of water, squeeze and add in tray (DO NOT SQUEEZE HARD)

Pour yogurt mixture over phulkiyan

Sprinkler chat masala and roasted cumin seeds. Enjoy!
