Ingredients:

For Rice:

  • 2 Cup Rice (Soaked)
  • Water as Required
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 2 Tablespoon Salt
  • Raisin
  • Star Anise
  • Cloves
  • Mint Leaves
  • Nutmeg
  • Mace

For Gravy:

  • ½ Kg chicken
  • 1 Cup Oil
  • 1 Medium Tomato
  • 1 Medium Onion (Fried)
  • Mint Leaves
  • 1 Lemon
  • 4-5 Green Cardamom
  • 1 Tablespoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Garam Masala 
  • 2 Tablespoon Ginger & Garlic Paste
  • 1 Tablespoon Biryani Masala 
  • Salt to Taste or 1-1/2 Tablespoon
  • 1 Teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1-1/2 Tablespoon Red Chili Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 4-5 Green Chilis
  • 2 Tablespoon Yogurt
  • Yellow/ Saffron Food Color Mix With 2 Tablespoon Milk
  • Water As Required
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter

Directions:

In pot, add chicken, half fried onion (keep half for later use), mint leaves, lemon (squeezed), cardamom, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, biryani masala, salt, dried fenugreek leaves, red chili powder, yogurt and mix it.

Add 1 cup oil, turn on stove and let it cook until chicken is almost done.

In another pot, add water (for rice boiling), star anise, raisin, clove, nutmeg, mace, mint leaves and boil.

Add rice, mix it and cook until rice is 90% cooked.

Add sliced tomatoes in chicken, 1 cup water and cook until chicken is done.

In chicken pot, add green chilies, strained rice, remaining fried onion, melted butter, saffron food color and steam cook for 10-15 minutes.

After 10-15 minutes, carefully mix it and enjoy.
